As a writer, creative director, marketing director and brand developer, I’ve had the pleasure of completing hundreds of successful projects to help businesses grow. Below you’ll find a few highlights, divided into three content categories for easier navigation: Sales & Sponsorships, Narrative, and Internal Communications.
SALES & SPONSORSHIPS
The Huntridge Theater project (2024): This inspirational funding packet guides philanthropic leaders through plans to renovate one of Las Vegas’ true historic buildings, expanding it into a three-venue performing arts center.
Nevada Ballet 2022-23 Season Brochure (2022): An annual brochure designed to activate subscription purchases (marketing proposition), educate patrons on organizational needs (donation proposition), and inspire parent/child exploration of the art form (Academy enrollment proposition). Includes pricing data tables, ordering instructions and hierarchical benefits overview.
Nevada Ballet Summer Intensive Pamphlet (2023): A compact, inspirational handout designed to drive summer dance program enrollment by speaking to younger audiences with mature dance aspirations, as well as parents looking for expert artistic mentoring.
The Nutcracker Sponsorship Brochure (2018): A business-centric sponsorship brochure designed to combine stunning visuals with bottom-line enhancing data to create a compelling proposition for corporate and philanthropic supporters.
NARRATIVE
Modernism Week Open House Flyer (2019): A one-page informational overview of the architectural history of a home in one of Las Vegas’ historic neighborhoods, distributed to tour participants during the annual Docomomo Modernism weekend festivities.
The Nutcracker: Home for the Holidays, ep. 1 (2020): When faced with an inability to perform on stage due to Covid-19, Nevada Ballet asked me to craft a three-part television series about their annual holiday tradition, viewed by thousands as part of a delightful but very un-traditional holiday season.
Spotlight Magazine Editorial Event Listing (2014): A compact, punchy sales pitch for the musical “Dancing Queen” during its run at Planet Hollywood Resort, designed to spark interest and drive readers to the ticketing information page within the same issue.
Nevada Ballet 50th Anniversary Coffee Table Book (2022): In celebration of the ballet company’s 50th Season, a 95 page commemorative coffee table book was commissioned. While not practical to include the entire book here, a look at the opening spread will demonstrate the success achieved combining stunning visuals, inspirational messaging and humble reverence for the work and commitment required to thrive for half a century.
Midtown Now Magazine Community Leader Profile (2019): This feature article profiling the owners of Three Sheets craft beer bar in Las Vegas’ Arts District was scheduled to be part of the premiere issue of Midtown Now magazine. Sadly, the pandemic squashed the magazine before it could debut, but the tavern owners framed and hung the raw version of the article nonetheless.
Media Alert Release for Opening Night of Dancing Queen (2013): More functional than elegant, this sample is straightforward information sharing in support of a new production opening at Planet Hollywood Resort.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
